Esade Alumni is pleased to invite you to this Refresher Program session entitled “Demystifying AI for business leaders: Beyond the hype” by Marc Torrens, associate professor in the Department of Data, Analytics, Technology and Artificial Intelligence at Esade.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming our society in a new and unprecedented industrial revolution. AI is impacting organizations at their core, reshaping business models, and enriching people’s daily lives. Through the last two decades, we have been witnessing how the use of artificial intelligence is changing the nature of business and how businesses compete. Organizations are developing new initiatives that would have been unbelievable just a few years ago, but at a scale and speed like never before. AI is at the center of all this.

However, there are expectations that are very far from the state of the art, and many misunderstandings among business people and in the society. In this talk, I try to demystify AI, share intuitions about how this powerful technology works, and enumerate some of the challenges that need to be addressed. The goal is to have the right understanding so that business people can optimally leverage AI within their organizations.

We’re looking forward to seeing you!
